Silence

Your silence is deafening
It reaches the depth of my soul
As my thoughts race much faster
Than what my heart is willing to hold

I hear the cries within
As it struggled to free itself
And my very own chains
Hold me down like a prisoner here

So I wait, wait for you words
Only to feel avoidance at all cost
And I find my own words drowning
For with words I am at a loss

Free me! My heart shouts to you!
Free me from the unbearable sound!
Your silence is sharper than knife
And my heart does not wish to be bound

As time goes ever slowly
I wait for your words to explode
Yet still…silence is my enemy
As I struggle to walk down this road

Perhaps it’s time to accept
That love dies from silence alone
No revival could bring it to life
May my soul free itself from its own
