My ship
I brace myself to the unknown
As I prepare to sail my ship
I close my eyes as fierce wind blows
And salty water touch my lips
I am prepared to meet the waves
Though strongly it will rock my stance
The roaring sound of thunder raves
Still I will sail and take a chance
The lightning bolts and pouring rain
May bring a shiver to my spine
But life itself is not in vain
So long as hope and faith is mine
There is no telling how long it will take
For life is a journey in itself
As challenges for me await
How things could end, no one can tell
As I set sail one thing remains
I’m not alone to travel there
My Savior stays through tears and pain
And guide me to the light of day
