I Fear
I fear not in this world the risks that I take
I am fearless indeed despite mistakes that I make
For how can one proceed without taking a leap?
You will never find out what’s yours beyond reach
But of all the things here, I fear one thing indeed
A beautiful notion like a drug in your head
It creates a euphoria, a rush and a speed
Without it in your heart, you’re better off dead
Without any warning it will strike in a flash
Can’t tell what had caused it, can’t tell if it’ll last
Once you have it within, you’d wish it would stay
You’d do anything possible to make it that way
So how could I fear such a beautiful thing?
When it gives such a life and creates those wings
When you feel you could fly and soar up above
Oh indeed I fear this, this great thing called “love”
For it is known to man that this same thing defies
The joys and the dreams, the hope in those eyes
I fear in a dash it will leave just as fast
Without warning it’s gone, it was too good to last
I fear my own silence when this thing had subside
And I find myself there without love by my side
I fear pain that would sting just as strong as before
Is it worth it indeed? Say no more, say no more
