Holding on to Time
I seem to glance outside
From my windowsill
As people pass me by
And life turns like a mill
Hold on for a second!
No single life awaits
I'm drained and I'm exhausted
Can't keep up with the pace
Curse this weakness!
This long and bumpy road
Hold on time! Slow down!
My pleas are but ignored
I long to be a part
Of the usual crowd that moves
But time just keeps on going
The more I try to prove
I'm trying to catch up
If I can grab the time
Still the crowd seems getting smaller
As my world gets left behind.

Hello dear friends!
Today is not so peachy. I wrote this poem a few minutes ago. I am clearly flustered. I am tired of feeling nauseated, feeling tired, and not being back to my toes like usual. Funny how we really take our health and energy for granted. When we're so busy, we complain that we could never catch up with rest. Meanwhile, being on the opposite of the totem pole, you'd be surprise how much you'll miss being busy specially when your body refuses to move as fast as you want it to move. I'm simply keeping in mind "this too shall pass". Thanks for listening (-: Susanna |
